Bountiful High School Track & Field Replacement

 

Design West was contracted to update the athletic fields and facilities with the goals of saving the owner time on maintenance, preserving water resources, and improving the student athlete and spectator experience. 

An existing five-lane track was also insufficient for track competitions. The school required an eight-lane track.
To provide a new track the baseball field needed to be relocated. As part of relocation, the school decided to convert this field to synthetic turf also.

The scope of this project included new baseball dugouts, bull pens, batting cages, team rooms, baseball crow’s nest, storage space, concessions, restrooms, visitor-side bleachers, synthetic turf football, baseball, and softball fields, eight-lane track, jumping and throwing events, grass removal for water-wise plantings on steep hillsides, larger courtyard and gathering space, and security fencing.

 

This project was awarded the Most Outstanding Project of 2024 in the Sports Facilities category, by Utah Construction & Design Magazine.
