Design West Architects designed a new state-of-the-art Headquarters Facility for the Salt Lake Mosquito Abatement District that allows them to better fulfill their duties while becoming a regional resource to other abatement districts.
The new office building houses the administrative functions of the facility as well as the new Level 2 Biosafety Testing Laboratory. Included in the administrative building is a large conference / training room, office space for full time employees, kitchen and break area, employee restrooms with locker rooms and showers, and a large laundry room. A significant area of the administrative building is the Level 2 Biosafety Laboratory which can easily be upgraded to a Level 3 lab, if needed.
Additional buildings designed for the new headquarters include a bunk house, a large vehicle storage / maintenance building, chemical storage building with raised loading dock and dedicated pesticide testing building.
